  3. AI agents, regulation and speed: build the guardrails, then drive fast

    What the EU AI Act asks of companies, where AI agents operate software without a user interface and how governance becomes a lever for speed. Given at BVMW Bavaria 2026.

Dr. Oliver Gausmann has built and led B2B software companies for more than 20 years: founder with an exit to S&P Global, then VP Technology & Innovation there with more than 200 engineers, Chief Commercial Officer at enmacc, COO of a PE-backed software company. He teaches at the University of Zurich.

Dr. Oliver Gausmann has worked in B2B software since 2004, as founder, CEO, COO and CCO. He sold his price-data company Minerals Value Service to S&P Global. As VP Technology & Innovation there he integrated four acquisitions in 24 months, MVS included, with more than 200 engineers on three continents. As Chief Commercial Officer of the energy trading platform enmacc he was responsible for a pricing redesign with a 2.5× revenue uplift. He holds a doctorate from the University of Augsburg and a Diploma in Corporate Governance and teaches Global Software Management and Applied AI Systems at the University of Zurich.
